Traffic Charges

While a traffic ticket may seem to be a minor inconvenience, often it can lead to unsuspected consequences such as unwanted points on your record, higher insurance premiums, or even a suspension of your driving privilege. So while the temptation may be to simply "pay off" your ticket and be done with it, you may save money in the long run by hiring an attorney to help you with your ticket. I can help you in several ways.

By hiring me you will save yourself a trip to court. While the most minor offenses can simply be paid by mailing money to the courthouse, most offenses have a mandatory court appearance involved. But by hiring me, I can waive your appearance and save you the trouble of taking off from work or school.

I can reduce, or usually eliminate, the points that a ticket would otherwise put on your driving record. To be honest, license points are not the same as insurance points, and therefore are not as serious a problem as many people believe. But should you accumulate too many points on your license, or should you get as few as two tickets within a year, you could lose your license.

Perhaps most importantly, I can help you avoid costly increases in your insurance premiums. Because the law requires that all drivers carry insurance, this is an expense that we all have to bear. But a single traffic ticket can drastically raise your insurance rates, even if you have kept your record clean until now.

Hiring a lawyer to handle a traffic ticket is generally not a major expense, and because I understand that tickets rarely happen at convenient time, we offer flexible payment options for both legal fees and court costs. When you call our office, it usually takes just a couple minutes to figure out what needs to be done to "fix" your ticket.  Call me for a free quote and explanation of how we can help you with your ticket before you simply pay it off and learn of the hidden costs later.*

*If you have already paid off a ticket or gone to court by yourself and pleaded guilty on your own, call us to learn how we may still be able to help you go back and fix the damage and restore your good record.
